24-hour live-in care in Lahr/Schwarzwald

Lahr is one of our locations. From Lammstraße 6 we look after families across the whole town and the immediate surroundings. The first conversation takes place at your home, because the living situation can only really be assessed on site: where the bed stands, whether there is a separate room for the carer, how the bathroom is reached.

The surrounding area comes with it. Friesenheim, Schuttertal, Seelbach, Kippenheim, Mahlberg and Ettenheim belong to the Lahr catchment as a matter of course — we drive out there for a first conversation exactly as we would within the town.

A large share of enquiries reach us under time pressure after a hospital stay. We have good contact with the Krankenhaus Lahr. When a discharge is approaching and nothing is arranged at home, every day counts — we usually need around ten days' lead time before a carer moves in, and we will tell you honestly at the first conversation whether that is achievable.

We base our advice on the care level assessed for you by the Medizinischer Dienst (MDK) and show you which benefits — care allowance, respite care — you can additionally claim from your care insurance fund. The Pflegestützpunkt Lahr advises you on this independently.

A care institution from the region on working with us

★★★★★ Verified review on Google

We have been using the services of the 24daheim agency since October 2025 and have felt very well advised and cared for from the very beginning.

We have reliable, competent contacts who have organised everything to our complete satisfaction so far.

The carers placed with us each integrated into our house quickly and were all empathetic, dedicated and respectful towards those in their care.

We greatly value this trusting cooperation and thank Mr Elison (Managing Director) and his entire team.

With sincere thanks to the whole team at Evang. Diakonissenhaus Nonnenweier e.V. for their trust — and to Bernd Gier for taking the time to write this.

In the area

Where enquiries from Lahr usually begin

Most families reach us at one of two moments: a discharge date has been set, or an assessment has just come through. These are the places involved most often.

Krankenhaus Lahr

When a discharge date is set and nothing is arranged at home yet, every day counts. We need around ten days before a carer can move in, and we will say at the first call whether that is achievable.

Pflegestützpunkt Lahr

Independent advice on care levels and benefits — they answer to nobody selling you anything. We build on what is assessed there rather than talking you into something else.

How it works

From your first call to the first day

  1. 1

    Your call

You describe the situation, we ask what matters: care level, mobility, night-time needs, whether German is essential. No obligation, no sales script.

  2. 2

    Home visit in Lahr

We come to you and look at the flat: the bed, the bathroom, the carer's room. That is where the honest answer about what is possible comes from.

  3. 3

    The match

We propose one or two carers with their full profiles — age, experience, German level, what they have handled before. You decide.

  4. 4

    Move-in

Around ten days from decision to arrival. We handle the travel, the paperwork and the A1 certificate, and we are there on the first day.

Costs and legal basis

What it costs, and why it is legal

Two questions decide everything else. We answer both before you ask, because a placement built on an unclear arrangement helps nobody.

Ask for a personal calculation
Monthly cost

2.200 – 3.200 €

Depending on care level, German language level and how much support is needed. Care allowance and respite care reduce this — we show you the real remaining figure, not the headline one.

The legal basis
  • A1-Bescheinigung — proof that social contributions are paid in the home country. Issued before arrival, in your hands.
  • EU posting model — the carer stays employed by a European partner company. You are not the employer and carry no payroll obligations.
  • Minimum wage compliance — working hours and rest periods are contractually fixed.
What this is not

A carer is not a qualified nurse. Medical procedures — injections, wound care, catheters — belong to an outpatient nursing service, which can come alongside. Anyone promising you both in one person is selling you something.
