Many people call us with little time to spare: a hospital stay is ending, and nothing is prepared at home yet. Between the first conversation and a care worker moving in, it usually takes about ten days. If your discharge date comes sooner than that, we tell you plainly instead of promising something we can't deliver. We have a good contact at Krankenhaus Lahr.
Our office on Lammstraße 6 is right in the center of Lahr, and we regularly travel to Friesenheim, Schuttertal, Seelbach, Kippenheim, Mahlberg and Ettenheim – the smaller villages are part of our everyday work, not an exception.
We visit and look at the rooms in person: where a care bed would fit, which room would be free for the care worker, whether the path to the bathroom is manageable without help. That's where we find out what's actually workable.
Our advice is based on the assessment from the Medizinischer Dienst. From that, we show you which benefits – Pflegegeld, Verhinderungspflege – your Pflegekasse covers, and what amount remains. For a second, independent opinion, the Pflegestützpunkt Lahr is the place to go.

Costs and legal basis
What it costs, and why it is legal
Two questions decide everything else. We answer both before you ask, because a placement built on an unclear arrangement helps nobody.

Depending on care level, German language level and how much support is needed. Care allowance and respite care reduce this — we show you the real remaining figure, not the headline one.
- A1-Bescheinigung — Proof that social contributions are paid in the home country. Issued before arrival, in your hands.
- EU posting model — The carer stays employed by a European partner company. You are not the employer and carry no payroll obligations.
- Minimum wage compliance — Working hours and rest periods are contractually fixed.
A carer is not a qualified nurse. Medical procedures — injections, wound care, catheters — belong to an outpatient nursing service, which can come alongside. Anyone promising you both in one person is selling you something.
